These general terms and conditions apply to all orders, products, deliveries, quotations, services, and agreements of Trouwbanners.nl.

Article 2 - Definitions
In these general terms and conditions the following definitions apply:
Trouwbanners.nl: the provider and webshop of wedding banners, welcome signs, roll-up banners, printed products, and related personalized products.
Customer: any natural person, consumer, company, organization, or institution that places an order or enters into an agreement with Trouwbanners.nl.
Consumer: a customer who does not act for purposes related to a profession, business or commercial activity.
Business customer: a customer acting on behalf of a company, foundation, organization, institution, association, or enterprise.
Product: every item offered by Trouwbanners.nl, including wedding banners, welcome signs, roll-up banners, personalized banners, printed matter, displays, designs, and related products.
Custom product: any product that is made specifically according to the customer's wishes, choices, input, upload, data, names, date, color, photo, logo, QR code, size, design, or other personal specifications.
Design: any visual layout, image, photo, text, name, date, QR code, color scheme, template, illustration, or combination used for the product to be delivered.
Agreement: any agreement between Trouwbanners.nl and the customer regarding the sale, production, delivery, or execution of products or services.
Article 3 - Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to every offer, every order, every delivery, and every agreement of Trouwbanners.nl.
By placing an order, the customer declares to agree to these general terms and conditions.
Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid when confirmed in writing by Trouwbanners.nl.
If one or more provisions in these terms and conditions prove to be wholly or partially invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. In that case, the invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that corresponds as closely as possible to the purpose and intent of the original provision.
Article 4 – Offer and product information
Trouwbanners.nl takes great care in displaying and describing products, sizes, materials, colors, delivery times, prices, and options.
Images, lifestyle images, mock-ups, and product examples on the website are intended as examples. The final product may differ slightly from these due to printing technique, material, size, screen settings, lighting, cropping, or production process.
Colors on a screen may differ from the final printed colors. This is because screens display colors differently than print.
Minor color differences, cutting differences, positioning differences, material nuances, or slight deviations in finish fall within normal production and printing tolerances and do not entitle the holder to a free reprint, discount, cancellation, or compensation.
Obvious errors, typographical errors, programming errors, pricing errors, or technical errors in the offer do not bind Trouwbanners.nl.
Article 5 – Conclusion of the agreement
The agreement is concluded as soon as the customer places an order via the website and Trouwbanners.nl confirms this order electronically.
For custom-made products, the agreement is concluded partly on the basis of the data entered by the customer, selected options, uploaded files, design choices, and any additional instructions.
The customer is personally responsible for correctly and completely providing all information required for the order.
Trouwbanners.nl reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of incorrect data, misuse, fraud, technical errors, unlawful content, payment problems, or other circumstances that make performance unreasonable to expect from Trouwbanners.nl.
Article 6 – Customization and personalization
Most products from Trouwbanners.nl are custom-made products. These are specially made based on the customer's choices and specifications.
Custom-made products include, among others, products with:
- names of the bridal couple;
- wedding date;
- personal text;
- photos;
- logos;
- QR codes;
- color choices;
- selected templates;
- custom designs;
- specific formats;
- special instructions;
- combinations of personal data and design choices.
Because custom-made products are made specifically for the customer, they are usually not suitable for resale to someone else after an order has been placed.
The customer understands and accepts that custom-made products cannot simply be modified, cancelled, or returned after production has started.
Article 7 – Verification of design, text and files
The customer is fully responsible for checking the design before placing or confirming the order.
The customer checks, among other things:
- spelling;
- names;
- wedding date;
- punctuation marks;
- capital letters;
- font;
- color choice;
- photos;
- cutout;
- resolution;
- logos;
- QR codes;
- placement of elements;
- format;
- numbers;
- delivery address;
- contact details.
When the customer uploads, modifies, confirms, or orders a design, Trouwbanners.nl assumes that the customer has carefully checked the design and agrees to production.
Errors provided or approved by the customer, such as spelling errors, incorrect names, incorrect dates, blurry photos, incorrect QR codes, incorrect colors, incorrect cropping, or incorrect address details, are not covered by warranty or a free reprint.
Trouwbanners.nl is not obligated to verify the content of submitted texts, names, dates, photos, QR codes, or files.
Article 8 – Files, photos, logos and QR codes
The client guarantees that all supplied photos, logos, texts, names, brands, illustrations, designs, QR codes, and other files may be used lawfully.
The customer guarantees that he does not infringe upon copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other rights of third parties.
The client indemnifies Trouwbanners.nl against third-party claims arising from the use of content provided by the client.
QR codes are printed as supplied or generated based on the URL provided by the customer. The customer is responsible for testing the QR code before ordering.
Trouwbanners.nl is not liable for a QR code that does not work due to an incorrect URL, expired link, changed destination, technical problem on the customer's website, or an error in the provided data.
If a photo, logo, or file has a resolution that is too low, this can affect the sharpness of the final result. Trouwbanners.nl can advise on this, but the client remains responsible for the quality provided.
Article 9 – Refusal of content
Trouwbanners.nl may refuse, pause, or cancel an order if, in the judgment of Trouwbanners.nl, the submitted content:
- is unlawful;
- is discriminatory;
- is hateful;
- is threatening;
- is pornographic;
- is misleading;
- infringes upon the rights of third parties;
- is harmful to the reputation of Trouwbanners.nl;
- is inappropriate or unacceptable in any other way.
If an order is cancelled for this reason, Trouwbanners.nl may charge for costs incurred for work already performed.
Article 10 – Prices
All prices on Trouwbanners.nl are listed in euros, unless otherwise indicated.
Any shipping costs, surcharges, express costs, payment fees, or costs for extra options will be clearly displayed before completing the order.
Free shipping may apply to the Netherlands and Belgium if stated on the website or with the product.
Different shipping costs, delivery times, and conditions may apply to other countries.
Trouwbanners.nl reserves the right to change prices. Price changes do not apply to already confirmed orders, unless there is an obvious error.
Article 11 - Payment
Payment is made via the payment methods offered during checkout.
The order will only be processed after payment has been received in full, unless otherwise agreed in writing or when the customer uses an approved deferred payment method.
For payment after delivery, additional terms and conditions from the payment provider may apply.
In the event of late payment, Trouwbanners.nl may suspend production, delivery, or further execution.
If a customer fails to pay on time, Trouwbanners.nl may send a payment reminder. Any interest and collection costs will only be charged to the extent permitted by law.
Business clients can only order by invoice if Trouwbanners.nl has confirmed this in writing in advance.
Article 12 – Promotions, discounts and offers
Special offers, discount codes, temporary offers, and promotions are only valid within the stated promotional period and under the specified conditions.
Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to orders already placed.
Trouwbanners.nl reserves the right to modify, pause, or terminate a promotion if there is reasonable cause for doing so, for example in the event of technical errors, abuse, stock limitations, or incorrect price display.
A discount code cannot be redeemed for cash.
Only one discount code can be used per order, unless otherwise stated.
Article 13 – Production
Production starts after the order, payment, and required files or data have been fully received.
If data, files, or payments are missing, production may be delayed.
A stated delivery time only starts running after all necessary information has been received completely and correctly.
Trouwbanners.nl is permitted to technically modify files to make them suitable for production. This includes scaling, cropping, converting, compressing, centering, or preparing them for print.
Trouwbanners.nl tries to preserve the submitted design as closely as possible, but minor technical adjustments may be necessary for a good final result.
Article 14 – Delivery and delivery times
Trouwbanners.nl delivers within the Netherlands, Belgium, and other countries insofar as this is offered on the website.
The delivery times stated on the website are indicative, unless a firm delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing.
Trouwbanners.nl does its best to produce and ship orders as quickly as possible.
Delays at the production, printing company, supplier, carrier, or delivery service do not automatically entitle the customer to compensation.
If an order is delayed, Trouwbanners.nl will try to inform the customer about this as best as possible.
Express delivery is only possible when offered on the website or confirmed in writing.
Article 15 – Delivery address and delivery
The customer is responsible for correctly entering the delivery address.
If an order cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer's absence, refusal of the package, or failure to collect it from a pick-up point on time, additional shipping or production costs may be charged.
If a package is returned to Trouwbanners.nl due to a customer error, the package will only be reshipped after any additional shipping costs have been paid.
Trouwbanners.nl is not liable for delays caused by an incorrect address or circumstances at the delivery service.
Article 16 – Transport, risk and damage upon delivery
The risk of loss or damage during transport lies with Trouwbanners.nl until the moment the product is delivered to the customer or a recipient designated by the customer.
Upon delivery, the risk passes to the customer.
The customer must report visible transport damage as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of receipt, via info@trouwbanners.nl.
In the event of transport damage, the customer must include clear photos of:
- the outer packaging;
- the shipping label;
- the damage to the product;
- the entire contents of the package.
Without clear photos, Trouwbanners.nl may not be able to properly assess a complaint regarding transport damage.
Article 17 - Retention of title
All delivered products remain the property of Trouwbanners.nl until the customer has fully paid all amounts due.
As long as full payment has not been received, the customer may not resell, pledge, modify, or transfer the product to third parties, unless Trouwbanners.nl has given written permission to do so.
Article 18 – Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers normally have the right to a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases.
However, this right of withdrawal does not apply to products made according to customer specifications or that are clearly personal in nature. This includes, among others, personalized wedding banners, welcome signs, roll-up banners, and other products specially made with names, dates, photos, text, colors, designs, QR codes, or other personal choices of the customer. By law, there is no cooling-off period for such custom-made products.
By ordering a custom-made product, the customer acknowledges that the product is being made specifically for him or her and that the right of withdrawal for this product is excluded.
When Trouwbanners.nl also offers standard products that are not personalized and are not made specifically for the customer, the statutory 14-day cooling-off period for consumers does apply to those standard products.
Article 19 – Returning standard products
For standard products that are not custom-made, a consumer may cancel the order within 14 days of receipt.
The consumer must report the withdrawal within this period via info@trouwbanners.nl.
After notification of withdrawal, the product must be returned as soon as possible, but no later than within 14 days.
The product must be returned unused, undamaged, and where possible in the original packaging.
The costs and risks of return shipment are for the account of the customer, unless otherwise provided by law or agreed otherwise in writing.
Upon receipt and inspection of the return shipment, Trouwbanners.nl will refund the amount due in accordance with legal regulations.
Custom-made products cannot be returned based on the right of withdrawal.
Article 20 – Cancelling or modifying an order
An order can only be cancelled or modified as long as production has not yet started.
Once production has started, a custom order can no longer be cancelled or modified free of charge.
If changes are still possible, Trouwbanners.nl may charge additional costs for this.
Change requests must be submitted as soon as possible by email to info@trouwbanners.nl, stating the order number.
Trouwbanners.nl cannot guarantee that a change can still be processed in time.
Article 21 - Complaints
If the customer has a complaint about a product or delivery, this must be reported as soon as possible via info@trouwbanners.nl.
The customer states:
- the order number;
- a clear description of the complaint;
- photos of the product;
- photos of the packaging if relevant;
- any additional information required to assess the complaint.
Trouwbanners.nl will assess the complaint as soon as possible and seek a suitable solution.
An appropriate solution may consist of repair, reprint, subsequent delivery, partial reimbursement, or another reasonable solution.
Trouwbanners.nl is not obligated to reprint or provide compensation if the error is caused by incorrect customer input, poor file quality, incorrect design choice, incorrect address, faulty QR code, spelling error, or any other circumstance for which the customer is responsible.
Article 22 – Warranty and conformity
Trouwbanners.nl guarantees that the product complies with the agreement, the stated specifications, and the reasonable expectations the customer may have.
The statutory rights of consumers always remain applicable.
The warranty does not cover damage or problems caused by:
- misuse;
- incorrect storage;
- incorrect assembly;
- exposure to extreme weather conditions;
- normal wear and tear;
- damage caused by third parties;
- incorrect customer entry;
- incorrectly supplied files;
- incorrect use of a roll-up system;
- forcing, dropping, or incorrectly unrolling a banner.
For roll-up banners, the customer must use the product carefully and set it up and store it according to normal usage instructions.
Article 23 – Use of products
The customer is responsible for the safe and proper use, installation, fastening, and storage of the product.
Trouwbanners.nl is not liable for damage caused by incorrect placement, improper use, poor surface, strong wind, rain, falling, impact, tripping, incorrect assembly, or use in conditions for which the product is not intended.
When a product is used outdoors, the customer must assess for themselves whether the product is suitably and safely placed under the current weather conditions.
Article 24 - Liability
Trouwbanners.nl is only liable for direct damage that is the direct result of an attributable failure on the part of Trouwbanners.nl.
Trouwbanners.nl is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost savings, loss of revenue, reputational damage, disappointment, delay, missed events, missed photo opportunities, or damage caused by the use of incorrect customer data.
The liability of Trouwbanners.nl is, to the extent permitted by law, limited to the amount the customer has paid for the relevant order.
This limitation does not apply when damage is the result of intent or willful recklessness on the part of Trouwbanners.nl.
The statutory rights of consumers are not limited by this article.
Article 25 - Force majeure
Trouwbanners.nl is not obliged to fulfill obligations when prevented from doing so by force majeure.
Force majeure includes, among other things:
- disruptions at suppliers;
- printing problems;
- transport delay;
- strikes;
- disease;
- fire;
- flood;
- power outage;
- internet outage;
- outage at payment providers;
- technical malfunctions;
- extreme weather conditions;
- government measures;
- war, pandemic or other exceptional circumstances;
- Non-delivery or late delivery by suppliers.
In the event of force majeure, Trouwbanners.nl may suspend the execution of the agreement.
If performance is permanently impossible, both parties may dissolve the agreement for the part that has not yet been performed.
Article 26 – Intellectual property of Trouwbanners.nl
All texts, images, designs, templates, product photos, styles, layouts, logos, trade names, website components, and other content of Trouwbanners.nl remain the property of Trouwbanners.nl or its licensors.
It is not permitted to copy, reuse, distribute, sell, modify, or make public content from the website without written permission from Trouwbanners.nl.
Designs, templates, and examples from Trouwbanners.nl may not be copied or used for other providers, printing companies, or commercial purposes without permission.
Article 27 – Use of client designs and samples
Trouwbanners.nl may use created products, designs, or mood images as examples, portfolios, social media posts, or promotions, unless the client indicates in writing in advance or at the latest upon ordering that they do not wish this.
When the product contains clear personal data, such as full names, photos, or personal details, Trouwbanners.nl will handle this with care.
At the client's request, Trouwbanners.nl may remove a previously posted portfolio or social media post, to the extent reasonably possible.
Article 28 – Reviews and customer ratings
Trouwbanners.nl may ask customers to leave a review.
Reviews must be based on a real experience and may not contain unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, misleading, or privacy-sensitive content.
Trouwbanners.nl reserves the right to refuse or remove reviews if they violate the law, these terms and conditions, or normal standards of decency.
Trouwbanners.nl may use reviews on the website, in advertisements, on social media, or in other communications.
Article 29 – Privacy and personal data
Trouwbanners.nl processes personal data for the execution of orders, customer service, payment, shipping, administration, and communication with the customer.
Personal data is not sold to third parties.
Trouwbanners.nl only shares data with third parties when this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, such as payment providers, shipping partners, hosting parties, administrative service providers, or other necessary processors.
When the customer subscribes to a newsletter or commercial communication, Trouwbanners.nl may use the email address for marketing purposes. The customer can unsubscribe from this at any time.

Article 30 – Fraud, abuse and chargebacks
Trouwbanners.nl is permitted to check orders for fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity.
In the event of suspected fraud, abuse, false data, unauthorized payment transactions, or unjustified chargebacks, Trouwbanners.nl may pause or cancel an order or request additional verification.
If a payment is unjustifiably reversed while the order has already been produced or delivered, the customer remains obliged to pay the full amount, plus any reasonable costs.
Article 31 – Business customers
Business customers are not subject to a statutory right of withdrawal, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Business customers are themselves responsible for verifying the suitability of products for their purpose, event, location, or campaign.
For business orders, Trouwbanners.nl may agree on different payment, delivery, or cancellation terms.
For business customers, the liability of Trouwbanners.nl is, to the extent permitted by law, always limited to the invoice amount of the relevant order.
Article 32 – Communication
Communication between the customer and Trouwbanners.nl takes place primarily via email or through the contact options on the website.
The customer is responsible for providing a correct and working email address.
Messages sent to the email address provided by the customer are deemed to have been received by the customer, unless the customer can demonstrate that this is not the case.
Article 33 – Amendment of these terms and conditions
Trouwbanners.nl may amend these general terms and conditions.
For orders already placed, the version of the terms and conditions applicable at the time of ordering applies.
The most recent version of the general terms and conditions is posted on the website.
Article 34 – Applicable law
Dutch law applies to all offers, orders, agreements, and deliveries of Trouwbanners.nl.
In the event of a dispute, the parties first attempt to resolve it together.
If this fails, the dispute will be submitted to the competent Dutch court.
